People On The Internet™ appear to have very, very bizarre views on what makes you “important”. This checklist apparently includes:
- Being noteable enough to merit having your own Wikipedia particle created by someone you don’t know.
- Being followed on Twitter by Wil Wheaton.
- Being linked from Penny Arcade, and subsequently having to deal with your website having crashed so no one can see it anyway.
- Being Dugg. Lots.
- Knowing about a Firefox easter egg that noone else knows about.
- Being in the beta for some MMO that noone’s ever heard of and that will probably never be released.
- Having your name or online alias included in a computer game or TV show.
- Playing Nethack. Honestly, a lot of (but not all of) the people I know who play Nethack somehow think they’re better people because they don’t need proper graphcis to enjoy their game. What’s up with that?
I imagine I may come back and add more to this list eventually.
